I. PURPOSE
The purpose of this plan is to ensure the continuity of learning in the event of an emergency that requires school closure. This plan provides guidance for educators, students, and families to transition to remote learning effectively.
Our students’ learning outcomes are the foundation upon which our instructional program is built. Embedded within the mission of the Fulton City School District is our commitment to “empower students to develop the knowledge and skills to become respectful, responsible, productive citizens who are committed to lifelong learning.” We will strive to uphold this mission by ensuring high-quality remote learning opportunities that support student success.
Our Strategic Coherence Plan provides a focused framework to ensure that curriculum and instruction—whether delivered in person, online, or in a hybrid model—represent more than just a list of skills and concepts. Instead, they embody the collective vision of the Fulton City School District community regarding student outcomes. In the context of remote learning, this philosophy is more important than ever, as we work to maintain educational consistency and equity for all learners.
