Singer, songwriter and local favorite Jared Campbell visited two Fulton elementary schools recently, delighting students with his musical talent and positive messaging.

On Monday, February 3, students at Fairgrieve and Lanigan Elementary Schools were treated to a guest performance from award-winning singer and songwriter Jared Campbell. Originally from upstate New York, Campbell now tours nationally, focusing on positive, uplifting messages for his youthful audiences. Campbell encourages students to be a “rockstar” in every situation, promoting kindness and the importance of sharing that kindness with others.

Campbell began the morning with two concerts at Lanigan Elementary before moving on to Fairgrieve Elementary that afternoon. At each, he was greeted with excitement and enthusiasm from students Pre-K to sixth grade.

The local artist’s concerts are a regular occurrence within Fulton schools, a tradition that began in the years before the pandemic. His annual trips are welcomed by both students and staff. He will return to Fulton’s Granby and Volney elementary schools later this spring.

Campbell’s tours reach many local area school districts, but he welcomes his fans of all ages to join him at Oswego’s Harborfest this summer.
