The Fulton City School District is composed of countless individuals who give their all to benefit our students and our community. We’re proud to show our appreciation to the people who offer so much by recognizing them as Fulton School Champions.

WHAT IS THE FULTON SCHOOL CHAMPIONS PROGRAM?

Fulton School Champions is an exciting program that seeks to recognize the hard work and dedication of the members of the Fulton City School District. Each month, three honorees will be selected from nominations submitted by the greater Fulton community throughout the month.

On the first Thursday of every month, the members of our “Champion Committee” will surprise the winning staff members with their award and honor them with gifts donated from generous community organizations and businesses. Don’t worry, we’ll post lots of pictures and videos on social media for all to see! We want to honor our School Champions!

WHO CAN BE A FULTON SCHOOL CHAMPION?

Anyone employed by the Fulton City School District can be nominated. Teachers, coaches, administrators, aides, custodians, bus drivers, nurses, secretaries, counselors… anyone! Winners may only be recognized once every two years.

(Members of the selection committee are not eligible to be selected as champion winners)

WHO SELECTS THE FULTON SCHOOL CHAMPIONS?

Each month a committee of individuals led by the district’s Director of Human Resources will work to select three honorees from among all submitted nominations. Committee members will include representatives from all of the district’s major bargaining units and will work to ensure that all types of FCSD employees are fairly recognized.

HOW DO I NOMINATE A FULTON SCHOOL CHAMPION?

To nominate a School Champion, fill out the online form available on FultonCSD.org. You’ll be asked to provide the nominee’s name, position, and location, as well as why you feel this individual is worthy of recognition. Did a certain someone make a positive impact on your child? Or is someone’s continual hard work and dedication worthy of notice? Now’s your chance to let them shine. If your nominee isn’t chosen for a specific month, don’t worry – your nomination will roll over to the next month and continue to be considered.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A FULTON SCHOOL CHAMPION IS SELECTED?

Every month, members of the “Champion Committee” – including members of district administration, available selection committee members and a member of the district’s public relations team – will track down the three winners and surprise them with their award (think “Publisher’s Clearing House!”).

While winners will receive a certificate commemorating their achievement, they’ll also receive gifts donated from community organizations and local businesses. The Champion Committee will take plenty of photos and video, all of which will be posted to a special “Fulton School Champions” portion of FultonCSD.org and displayed on district social media channels. We think our Champions are worth celebrating!
