2025 Meet the Candidates

2025 Meet the Candidates

There are two vacancies for the Fulton Board of Education beginning in July of 2025.

Fulton voters are asked to select two candidates.

Tim Connors

Tim Conners believes “we can move mountains if we move them together,” and in 2025 he is running for a second term on the Board of Education to ensure all students in the Fulton City School District continue to have access to the education, resources, and supports they need to go on to be successful in life. At 15 when Tim was only a freshman at G. Ray Bodley High School, he was diagnosed with cancer and would soon go completely blind from it. Although it wasn’t always easy, Tim has taken this life changing experience to go on to do amazing things he never imagined possible, and he has never forgotten the community who helped him get there. After graduating from high school in 2013, Tim went on to Ithaca College where he received a degree in Communication Studies, and then took the path to become a motivational speaker, a blind adventurer, and an author, publishing his first book in 2016. His adventures have brought him to the summits of mountains and bike rides across the entire country, but no matter what he’s done, he has always sought to pay it forward, giving back to the groups and organizations that were there for him when he needed it the most. This includes the Fulton City School District, and is why Tim is so passionate about getting the chance to continue to serve another term on the Board of Education where he can play a part in making sure the families in our community are getting the education their children deserve.

Hello Fulton! My name is Jessica O'Bryan, and I'm asking for your vote for the Fulton Board of Education.

As a long standing member of this community and a proud graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School, my roots run deep here. I am a local small business owner, which gives me the wonderful chance to connect with so many families and neighbors regularly. I see the strengths of our community every day, and I believe strongly in the potential within our schools.

My commitment to the Fulton City School District is also deeply personal. My own nieces are growing up here and will soon be walking the halls of our schools. Like you, I want the very best for them and for every child in our district. That’s why I’m running – to ensure all our students have the opportunities and support they need to succeed and empower them to positively impact their and our community’s future.

Professionally, I bring years of management experience from challenging, fast-paced environments and hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Syracuse University. This background has equipped me with valuable skills that I believe are essential for an effective board member. I'm a strong team leader who knows how to identify opportunities for improvement, develop clear, actionable plans, and work collaboratively to achieve positive results. I enjoy tackling challenges and am focused on getting things done. My experience is built on strong communication and service – skills I will use to listen to and represent the needs of students, parents, and our entire community.

I believe my combination of local understanding, relevant professional experience, and genuine passion for our students' success makes me a strong candidate. I am ready to be a dedicated, responsive, and effective voice on the Fulton Board of Education.

Thank you for considering my candidacy. I would be honored to earn your trust and your vote.
